"The world of art is amazing and the beauty of it is that there is no right or wrong, it is what it is: the possibilities are endless."

I have lived on Banks Peninsula, with my husband and our three children since 1998. Painting has always been a passion , originally with watercolour but over the last few years I have really enjoyed working with oils as well. There are many different techniques for both, so experimenting and developing my own style is ongoing.

Having taken Art as a chosen subject through school and having a mother who enjoyed painting as a hobby, the interest has always been there. Now the children have left home there is more time to explore the amazing world of art and take my passion further. To date animals and birds have mainly been my subject of choice.

I love the challenge of bringing them alive and endeavouring to reflect their personality on canvas.

Other than painting, my interests include horse breeding, show jumping, farming, gardening and photography. We have an array of non-human family members, so there is never a shortage of subject matter.

I have attended various watercolour workshops including one with Ron Esplin, a renowned New Zealand Watercolour Artist and exhibited Paintings at "Riversdale Arts" 2016 and 2017.
